Peter came for a visit after Christmas, or

at least Tab thought he was only coming

for a "visit". He had more in mind and

totally shocked Tabitha when he got

down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

We're excited about having Peter join

our crazy family. :-) They're planning to be

married sometime in August.

Peter did an outstanding job on

the ring! It's absolutely beautiful.

We had our annual Ladies' Christmas Brunch a few weeks ago. It was a special time together! We were excited to have Mary Rice as our guest speaker this year!

Thanksgiving Day

We are so thankful for all the Lord has done for us! We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with family. Later in the evening, different friends stopped by for a second meal and games.

Cracked Window

The boys cut the lawn today. While David was weed whacking around a pile of rocks, the rock flew up and hit the window and cracked it! We are still waiting for it to actually fall out of the door.. :-/ (Sorry for the sideways picture! I don't know how to rotate it.. I'm new at this! :) )

We've had a lot going on here this past week!

Rebekah headed off to West Coast Baptist College on

Monday afternoon.

Sayin' goodbye until we see her at Christmas.

Mary and Suzy left for Pensacola Christian College.

John took his drivers' test and after bribing Mr. T,

he passed him. ;-) He's a great driver!

Makayla Faith Estep

This is long overdue but... Our niece, Makayla, was born on May 26th. Tabitha and Suzy were able to be there for her birth. It was the first birth they were able to observe. Suzy was excited about the opportunity since she is going to school for nursing. As for Tabitha, she is still trying to figure out why she decided to be there. : / Here are a few pictures while they were waiting... waiting... and waiting the days before Makayla decided to make her entrance into the world.

The kids were always so excited to see Lloyd

when he came home from work!

Carter & Nathan love their Dad and always want to be with him. Nathan needs his own lawn mower. His sisters weren't too happy to see him with their stroller, and it doesn't say much for his masculinity either! = )

After several days of waiting, Makayla finally seemed ready to meet her family! Bethany woke us up at three in the morning to let us know she was in real labor. We headed to the hospital with all our stuff.

Once we got to the hospital, it took longer for things to progress because Bethany's contractions completely stopped. : / Everyone decided to find a spot and get comfortable!

Finally, ten days after Makayla's due date, she decided to

make her entrance into this world. It really is an

amazing thing to see a baby brought into this world!

Suzy got to cut the umbilical cord and help care

for Makayla after she was born.

Neighborhood Bible Time

We had our first Neighborhood Bible Time at our church this

summer. We had about 70 kids attend. It was a great week!

John Wicht handmade this awesome penny scale for our penny parade. Pam Mills was very creative in painting it and everyone loved it!!

If you can't find John, call him. His phone is

glued to his hand 24/7.

One of Suzy's students had a little crush on her and brought her a rose. He had even pulled all the thorns off of it! He showed up wearing a three-piece suit. When we told him how nice he looked, he said very matter of factly, "Oh, this is my usual style!" :-)

We had great weather and a great time!!

We had a Freedom Wall to remember all those

that have served for our country. Those that

Lloyd took his youth group to camp last week so

Bethany decided to come home for a visit.

Everyone finally got to meet Makayla.

We loved having them here!

Nathan disappeared at one point only to be

found in the garage sitting on the boy's mower

pretending to mow like they do. :-)

He loves all sports and he will play all

It has been so busy and we have a ton of

Father's Day was back in June, but

Peter came to Ann Arbor three years ago to study

Law at the University of Michigan. We've enjoyed

getting to know him and his family over the years.

His graduation was a few weeks ago and most of

his family was able to come. It was a quick trip

and we wished they could have stayed longer!

We had a nice Mother's Day lunch with
the Magnuson family before they
headed back to Minnesota.

Peter was very involved with our church and a huge
blessing to us. We're going to miss him greatly!

Bernie & Devanne Visit

Bernie and Devanne came to visit during Spring Break...

My dad struck up a conversation with him and
realized he had a very fitting name. Mr. Bowling.

Bowling's fun, but a little tiring after 5 hours straight!
It was unlimited bowling so of course we had to stay til
they closed at 2am! We were a tad bit sore the next day!

A trip to Ann Arbor wouldn't be complete

without a stop at Blimpy Burger!

This picture was taken right before Tab got yelled at by
some random lady. I guess staring is not always the
best thing to do, especially when it's followed by
whispering. :-) It didn't seem to matter that she was
not the one being stared at, but rather the odd looking
man next to her with the awesome looking mustache.

Lyd gives a thumbs up to this guys grilling skills.

Hopefully she took note, considering everything

she grills turns out as black as coal. :-)

Devanee was quite impressed with the U of M Law Quad.

Dad took all of us to breakfast Friday morning.
We were all up and on our way by 8:30!
That's impressive! :-)

Bob loved having Bernie here! Quite obviously the
feelings were not mutual. I think by this point
Bernie just wanted to go home. :-)

Some people don't get out much. :o)

Some of the wrestling matches were

pretty intense but entertaining.

We had so much fun with you guys! Come back

Ladies' Prayer Meeting

this month. They did an "Italian" theme.

Bob wasn't sure about the clapping during the songs.

John always seems to show up at the ladies' prayer
meetings. Maybe the free food? He decided to take

advantage of the romantic Italian setting and get

a little one on one time in with Abby. :)

Family Reunion

Tabitha graduated from Cosmetology school last week

and is extremely happy about being done!

We're convinced that Tab's favorite part about being

a cosmetologist is that she gets to be in complete

control. If you're in the chair, you better hope

she's on good terms with you, she's gotten her

sleep and has had a good meal! Here are a

few products of her getting even. :D

It was fun having Tabitha go to a school that was
in the area. We all enjoyed stopping in to see
her while getting pampered for great
prices with excellent service! :-)

AABC Sunday School

Joanna, Tabitha, Hannah, and Naomi went to

Chicago last weekend so Tabitha and Hannah

could go to America's Beauty Show.

They both love cosmetology so it was a fun

thing to do together for their birthdays!
They were able to spend some time
with Lloyd, Bethany, and the kids too.

They are SO much alike in personalities, interest,

and looks!!! It is scary at times! = )

Lloyd & Carter take March Madness very seriously! :-)

Nathan was sooooo proud of his "bubble!" :-)

Joanna was so excited about her first wiggley tooth! :-)

could not jump with him on his trampoline

Today is Grandpa Burtt's birthday.

We had a special dinner Saturday night to celebrate

all the March birthdays. Happy Birthday, Grandpa!!

Thankfully there were extras and we found a new griller!!

Tabitha had fun doing something new and

creative with Hannah's hair for her birthday!

we decided to leave birthday wishes

on her "wall." :-) We are still trying

Jeremy woke up yesterday morning with a swollen face.

We couldn't figure out what the problem was. He later
remembered that he hit his face on John's hip while they
were playing basketball. He went to the doctor this
afternoon and they confirmed that it was a fractured
sinus! He won his game though. :-)

Dad, Mom, and Rachel were out of town last week at a

Bible Conference. We had the privilege of staying home

with the kids. :-) We thought it would be fun to go

sledding. The little girls refused to go if Tab wore her

crazy hat. Of course, after Tab heard that, she just had

to wear it. :-) The girls were thankful there was

no one else at the sledding hill!

The hill was pure ice. They decided to try going

down without sleds. Needless to say, they had

sore rumps the next day!

Cinderella lost her boot.

Since the hill was too icy, we walked over

to the park and had some fun there.

Tab is full of brilliant ideas. We made chocolate bowls.

We used smiley face balloons, so we

had smiley chocolate bowls. :-)

I got to go to Florida this year for my birthday.

I was kinda lost in the airport so they

When I finally found out where they were

I walked out and surprised Kenzie!

It was awesome to finally see her again!!!

Kenzie, Noah, Abby and I decided we would ride our
bikes over to Walmart. We weren't even out of the
subdivision and I did a flying front flip over the
handlebars and landed pretty much like the
picture shows. Somehow everyone found out and
I got called a klutz for the rest of the week! :)

We went to this really good orange

juice place. Their lemonade was the best!

We went to the beach with Rebekah and Deborah
on Friday!!! I love the ocean!!! There was this thing
to climb on so we climbed up to the top.
It was pretty awesome! ;)

I was the only one who would go out with
Allie to the sand bar. It was a pretty unforgettable
experience! So we are walking out to the sand bar
and Allie says "O yea, btw there are stingrays so
just scuffle your feet." I was like "Great!" So we are
out there for a little bit when all the sudden I saw
these huge dark orange colored stingrays! I called
to Allie and said, "Allie, there are 5 stingrays!
Scuffle your feet!" She just laughed and said,
"Haha that's funny." I said, "NO! I am not joking!!!"
We think they might have been poisonous!
You all are pretty lucky we are still here with you today! ;)

Thursday night us 3 girls made dinner. It started out a fail!

Kenzie broke the garlic press! How is that even possible!?

Then Abby finished it off by spilling the

whole container of brown sugar! :)

We celebrated my birthday Friday night. Mrs Huxley

made and decorated a really good cake and

Mrs. Huxley and Deborah made dinner!! Thanks again!!!

Saturday night we went to the Edison light parade!

Lydia spent her 14th birthday in Florida

with sisters and friends! <:o)

Deborah & Rebekah are in Florida this month traveling

with Dr. Bill Rice and his wife. It worked out for them

to visit Lydia and the Huxleys for a few days.

Everyone spent the day at the beach but us. : (

Valentine's Day

The boys have some good role models in

their lives that give great tips for spoiling us on

Valentine's Day. = ) They surprised mom and had a

beautiful bouquet delivered from Edible Arrangements.

They also sent a Valentine's Day package

to Suzy & Mary at college. It made their day!

Suzy & Mary went to a Fine Arts to hear one of the Irish Tenors.

We're sure they were the prettiest ones there! :-)

The boys were so sweet and surprised each of us

girls with a box of Godiva Chocolates!

awesome husbands someday! :-)

More Visitors from Minnesota

We enjoyed having Mrs. Magnuson and Libby here

for a short visit. Somehow Mom & Mrs. Magnuson got

talked into playing Mario Cart. They didn't know the

first thing to do with the remotes. Tab didn't either,

so we don't know why she tried to help. : )

It was quite entertaining to watch them play.

Mrs. Magnuson was really getting into it.

Libby turned 20 on Tuesday so we

all went to dinner to celebrate! :-)

We had a huge blizzard Tuesday evening.

Uncle Al celebrated his 60th on January 21st!

We love watching the boys play basketball together. They play such

Church Addition

We are excited to see our church addition getting close to being done! We're starting a new Sunday School program in March, and our dad has been working hard trying to get things finished. He appreciated having some extra help over the last few weeks! They were able to help get all the ceiling tiles in and it looks great!!

NYC Missions Trip

Deborah, Joanna, and Rebekah had a ministry opportunity

to go with a group from the Bill Rice Ranch to New York City.

They set up several prayer stations and have gospel literature

available throughout the week. The Ranch has done this

for years and always see a lot of people come to know

the Lord through this outreach. The girls were

available to talk with deaf people as well.

CJ & Sarah came from New Jersey

to spend a day with the girls and help.

They have been able to do some sightseeing
in the evenings. They went to the top of the
Empire State Building one of the nights. This
is from their camera phone and it's still beautiful!

Rebekah's Traveling

Rebekah is excited about the opportunity she has to travel with

Dr. Bill & Mary Rice this semester. They left today and will

be spending most of their time ministering & recruiting

in Florida. Please pray for their safety as they travel.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas with family visiting from

St. Louis, Singapore, Tennessee and Florida.

There were two naughty kids surprised to

find a lump of coal in their "stockings." = )

Hannah was excited to get a real mannequin to

practice her skills on. She's loves to do hair and

nails like someone else we all know and love. = )

David has a pet lizard our mom has graciously

allowed in the house. = ) He was happy to get a

leash he had been wanting for it. We were

happy to see it on a leash outside the cage! = )

It's funny that one unnamed person ended

up at both tables. More than likely there

were two different plates of food too. = )

Spending Time With Family

It's been so nice to have family in town for Christmas.

Uncle Paul is visiting from Singapore for two weeks.

Rebekah and Deborah are home from Tennessee for a
week. Mary and Suzy are home from college for over
a month! Lloyd, Bethany and the kids stopped overnight
on their way through to West Virginia. We were able
to enjoy one of the boy's basketball games all together.
They had the biggest cheering section for sure. :-)

Our Christmas Program was this past Sunday night.

Sam did a great job directing his first program!

Tabitha, Rachel and John sang in the program.

Joanna, Suzy and Mom played in the orchestra.

It was time to clean up but some people

thought a singspiration was a better idea.

Lydia even talked Paul Reimann into joining in on the fun. :-)

Mr. Muzzi jumped in with a little narrating.

Home for Christmas!!

Suzy and Mary flew in late Friday night. They get
five weeks off for Christmas! We have missed
them and are looking forward to catching up!

Deborah & Rebekah got home in time for

dinner on Saturday night. They will be here

for a week before heading back to Tennessee.

Ladies' Christmas Party

We had our annual Ladies' Christmas Party last weekend.

We did something a little different this year and had it at

the Sheraton Hotel. It was a nice change and a lot less

work for everyone! Sheryl Nichols was our special

speaker and was such a blessing to all of us.

Aunt Susan was in town visiting for the weekend.

She was scheduled to fly out Saturday morning,

but her flight got canceled. We were so glad it

worked out for her to be at the party! :-)

Kim McKenzie brought her beautiful handmade
baskets and had a nice display for any
ladies that wanted to purchase one.

Pam & Britany Mills did an excellent job with

a short Christmas drama they put together.

Rachel was so thankful Mary Lynn worked it

out to be in town for the party. She did

a great job "running the show" that day. = )

Thanksgiving

We have been having some trouble with blogging, so we're

just getting some of our Thanksgiving pictures posted.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was so much fun

having Lloyd, Bethany and the kids here, as well as

CJ and Sarah.

CJ & Sarah will be spending Christmas in NJ
this year, so they brought early Christmas gifts.

They got our family a Wii! The kids

have loved playing it.

Sarah and the kids made little candy turkeys.

Deborah and Rebekah drove down to Florida so they could

spend Thanksgiving with Suzy & Mary at PCC.

It was nice to have Aunt Mary here for a visit last week.

We really enjoyed seeing her again! It worked out
for some of us to attend a play, The Sound of Music.

It was performed in a theatre named after Lydia. :)

Happy Birthday David!

David turned 18 on Monday. We celebrated early and

went disk golfing on Friday. It was a gorgeous day!

One of the last for Michigan. :(

We had some real talent among us!

Then there were some who were not so fortunate....

Tab spent most her time climbing trees. :)

We had friends over later that night for dinner & games.

Dad says he has a hidden talent

we never knew about. :-)

Just for the record... don't put powdered sugar on

birthday cake! It doesn't work out so well

when you blow out the candles. :-)

Weird, Wild & Wacky

Missing the Huxley Family

We had a bonfire, hayride and games last Sunday

night after church. It was pretty chilly so the

bonfire was a perfect way to get warmed up!

Fall Pictures

After looking at all those pictures you would think

we had no problems getting the boys to smile, right?

Not quite! It was like pulling teeth to get them dressed

and outside for pictures! Here is a wonderful

example of John mocking us. :) Sweet thing!

Jeremy says he refuses to get married

Corn Maze

We had a teen activity with our church group on Monday night.

We all headed to a corn maze & bonfire in Milan.

On the way...

It was a beautiful night and the weather was perfect.

Mackenzie turned 17 on Monday!

She was easy to spot in the corn maze with her blinking hat. :o)

Someone should have bought them a map. ;-)

Here's the crazy maze that most of us got lost in for hours!

We still had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful evening.

Ben guided some of us around for a while with the GPS on his iphone.

The bonfire was awesome and we made

the most delicious s'mores.

Peter gave an excellent challenge.

The Big Game

The Huxleys invited the five younger kids over to watch the big

Michigan vs. Michigan State football game. It was a horrible

game but they still managed to have fun. : )

Mrs. Wicht couldn't decide who she wanted to cheer for. = )

The rest of us went over to watch the game with

the Joshuas. It was a sad day for Michigan fans

but we still enjoyed the good food and fellowship. : )
