Rebekah & Tabitha Are Home

We're excited to have Rebekah home from Tennessee for a couple weeks. She'll be going back to the Bill Rice Ranch to be a counselor for the summer.

Tabitha stayed with Lloyd and Bethany in Chicago for the week. It's nice to have her home.

Julia's Before & After Videos

Julia had her four wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. We took some before & after videos. The second one is hilarious! We've been asked to post them, so here they are. :-)

The first thing she did after surgery... got her phone out and started calling people. I thought she knew what she was doing. When I showed her the video later that day, she laughed and didn't remember anything about it. = )

Deborah was excited that Wind was coming for a visit, but she had no idea he was going to "pop the question." : ) He drove all through the night on Saturday and arrived early Sunday morning. They spent time together on Monday canoeing and horseback riding. If you know Deborah, this was the perfect way to spend her day. He led her on horseback up to where he built a bonfire. Then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She, of course, said, "YES!!" :-)

Dad & Mom drove all day Monday to be there that night after they got engaged. Deborah didn't know they were coming and was surprised to find Mom hiding in the closet when she went to get her shoes! ; ) They all went out to eat together and celebrated their engagement.

She said, "Yes!" : )

Day 2 In Wisconsin

We had brunch together Thursday morning.

The boys helped in the kitchen after breakfast.

Thursday night we had a surprise party for Dad. We celebrated his 21st birthday instead of his 60th. Tabitha just turned 21 last month and he was telling her the story of when he turned 21. We have heard the story many times over the years... he was sitting all alone in his bunker in Vietnam listening to the radio when he heard them say "today is April 27th." He quickly realized it was his birthday and was so excited! He ran outside to tell everyone it was his 21st birthday and there was no one there. : ( Such a sad story! Since he was never able to celebrate his 21st, Tabitha suggested we do it now. Who really wants to celebrate a 60th anyway?!? = )
